Recreation inSites Attends Another Great IPRA Conference!

This past week, Recreation inSites attended their fourth IPRA Conference as the independent rep for KOMPAN playgrounds. The Multi Spinner was the featured equipment piece in the booth and several attendees took a spin in it.

Recreation inSites also showed a banner in the booth featuring KOMPAN’s upcoming product release of Organic Robinia which will be officially release in the next couple months. Recreation inSites is very eager for this release and cannot wait to share this product with parks departments and schools throughout Indiana. Check out the video below and start planning an Organic Robinia for your community, school, or recreation area!

This year, each booth was encouraged to have a game to be played in the booth with a theme of Play Matters. Attendees would cast their vote for their favorite booth. As if spinning with you friend in the Multi Spinner wasn’t enough, Recreation inSites challenge those that did spin to try and toss ping pong balls into cups while spinning. Some were successful in sinking a ping pong ball into the cups but many did a fine job of scattering the 36 total ping pong balls all over the surrounding conference area. Recreation inSites was happy to have won favorite booth this year!

Attendees and exhibitors were also encouraged to provide items to assist the Bloomington Backpack program. This program provides a “backpack” of various foods to assist their families who cannot provide food to their children over the weekend when school meals cannot be provided. Recreation inSites provided a complete backpack of supplies. Nothing is more important than making sure our children are cared for in the best way possible. As a way to thank those that did participate in providing items, IPRA gave raffle tickets out to participate in their chance to win money in their wind tunnel room. Each lucky raffle number had a chance to grab money for 20 secs. It was a fun way to engage the Expo Hall vendors and attendees. Recreation inSites had two chances in the wind tunnel room. So much fun, but harder than it looks to grab that floating cash.

The IPRA also provided a silent auction event where various items were donated to help raise money for their Scholarship program. One main basket was hidden in the Expo Hall in the vendors booths and attendees were asked to look out for the basket. If found, a raffle ticket would be issued. Each attendee could keep locating that basket as it moved through the Expo Hall and receive one ticket at each found location, just increasing their chances to win that basket. Another great way to keep traffic circulating in between sessions.

Another great year at the IPRA Conference. Recreation inSites is looking forward to next year’s conference in downtown Indianapolis!
